The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) invites application from Indian Citizens for the posts of Lecturers in Government Polytechnics in Uttarakhand state on prescribed forms only :
Lecturer : 198 posts (UR-133, SC-34, ST-7, OBC-24) in various subjects/ disciplines, Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-, Age : 21-40 years as on 01/07/2012 and relaxation in age as per rules.
Application Form Fee : Rs.130/- (Rs.90/- for SC/ST/PH candidates of Uttarakhand) by any bank DD/ IPO in favour of “Secretary, Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Haridwar” payable at Haridwar.
Candidates should write their name and address.
How to Apply : Application forms in the prescribed format completed in all respects must reach the Secretary, Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar-249404 at the commission office either by registered post/ speed post or personally (by hand) up to 06-00 P.M.
General Instructions:
1) Subject to the provisions of this Article, there shall be a Public Service Commission for the Union and a Public Service Commission for each State. Two

8. a Member other than the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission shall be eligible for appointment as the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission
9. It shall be the duty of the Union and the State Public Service Commissions to conduct examinations, for appointments to the Services of the Union and the Services of the State respectively.
10. on all disciplinary matters affecting a person serving under the Government of India or the Government of a State in a civil capacity, including memorials
11. the Governor as respects other services and posts in connection with affairs of a State, may make regulations specifying the matters in which either generally,
12. Power to extend functions of Public Service Commissions An Act made by Parliament or, as the case may be, the Legislature of a State may provide for the exercise

About the organization:
The State of Uttarakhand came into existence on 09 th November, 2000 under the Reorganisation of Uttar Pradesh Act 2000. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was Constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of Uttarakhand vide Notification No. 247/1Karmik2001 dated 14 th March, 2001(Annexure1). At present the strength of the Commission is the Chairman & the four Members(Annexure2).
