INSTRUCTIONS FOR WRITTEN TEST

Candidates are required to fulfill all ‘Eligibility Criteria’ as specified in the OCES/ DGFS-2011 Advertisement.
• Candidates are required to make their own arrangements for boarding, lodging and transport at the Test Venue.
• Candidates should bring the following items to the Written Test venue. (i) Copy of Application Form, (with photograph) (ii) Guidelines for Written Test (this sheet)  (iii) Pen, HB/ 2B Pencils, Eraser and Sharpener and (iv)Identity Proof: one of the following- a) Employer’s Photo ID b) Voter ID c) Passport d) Driver’s License or e)Identity Card issued by College/University .
• Books/ notes, calculators, pagers, mobile phones, etc are not allowed in the Examination Hall.
• Candidates should not correspond with the authorities of the Written Test Venue.
• Dates of Written Test, if changed in case of unavoidable circumstances, will be announced on the BARC web-site (http://oces.hbni.ac.in).
• Candidates can check their Selection Interview eligibility status by using name/ Application No. on the same web-site from May 16, 2011. If a candidate is called for Selection Interview, the reporting date and time will be indicated. Individual call letters will also be posted.


INFORMATION ABOUT WRITTEN TEST

An Optical Mark Reader Answer Sheet (OMRAS) will be given initially on the commencement of the Test. All applicable entries should be made on the OMRAS as per instructions given. The Question Paper shall be given at 1000 Hrs
• The Written Test is of two-hour duration and will have separate Question Paper for each discipline. It comprises hundred multiple choice questions questions and each will have 4 choices of answers (one of which is correct) namely A, B, C & D. A correct answer will fetch 3 marks while a wrong answer will lead to -1 marks.
• Use of calculator, slide rule, log tables, notes, books etc, is not allowed.
• Blank sheets for rough work will be provided.
• Candidates will be allowed to leave the examination hall only 45 minutes after commencement of Test.
• Question Paper, OMRAS and rough working papers to be handed over to the Invigilator before leaving.

CENTRE CODE, VENUE CODE, NAME & ADDRESS OF VENUES AND OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

Listed below is the information about the locations for the Written Test. The two digit Centre Code refers to the City in which that particular venue is located.  eg. Centre Code 01 implies Ahmedabad, Centre Code 23 implies Shillong etc. The three digit Venue Code which is in the range 101-153 is a unique identification code for each of the 53 venues spread across 22 cities where the examination is being held. Please locate your venue by looking at the venues in the city you had opted for as your exam centre. If you are a candidate who has opted for a city like Ahmedabad (Centre code 01) there is only one venue (Venue Code 101) and so that is the venue for all disciplines. In centres like Raipur (Centre Code 21) there are multiple venues (Venue Codes 151 and 152). However the column under disciplines says that for eg. 3.         ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

(A)   Nationality / Citizenship :A candidate must be either(i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1^st January,1962 with the intention of permanently setting in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India, provided  that candidate belonging to categories (ii),(iii),(iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

A candidate for Post Code 02 – Office Assistant Cadre must be a domicile of Bihar.

(i)            Bachelor degree of a recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent.
