Dual M.Tech- Ph.D Degree Programme in different specializations is being introduced by the Institute to attract highly motivated candidates in the field of Science, Engineering, Technology Architecture and Planning, and willing to take research and teaching as profession. The Dual M.Tech - Ph.D Degree Programme will admit bright, highly motivated students with Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology of four years duration or Architecture/ Planning of five years duration from an institution recognized by AICTE/ UGC.
Qualification:- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Planning or equivalent Degree in relevant branch from a recognized University/ Institute as per list of qualifying Degree for admission to Master’s program of the Institute.

Have minimum 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale in qualifying examination
Must have valid GATE/ NET Score as per MHRD rules and have minimum 95 percentile or its equivalent
Admission Test questions:
a. Admission Test will be of full marks 100 and of three hours duration.
b. Syllabus for the admission Test shall be as per GATE/ NET (JRF) 2013 examination for respective department/ specialization.
c. Admission Test shall have Objective Type multiple choice/ option type questions only. The question paper shall have 25% questions to test candidate’s general analytic ability and aptitude to undertake research and 75% shall be from General Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Humanities (as per respective department’s Specializations) to test the Knowledge in the field/ Specializations in which candidate desires to be get admitted.
d. The Objective question shall have negative marking. For each wrong answer ¼ th of the marks allotted for that question shall be deducted.
e. Question paper for Admission test shall be different for each department excepting Computer Sc. & Engineering and Information Technology department.
f. Admission Test for Selection in Computer Sc. & Engineering and Information Technology department shall be done by Common, and interview shall be conducted by common board of expert(s).
Interview: Candidates securing minimum 40% marks (i.e. 40 marks out of full marks 100) in Admission Test will only be eligible for interview.
Application Fee:Application fee of Rs. 1000/- for General/ OBC/ Sponsored category and Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST/ PH in the form of DD drawn in favour of National Institute of Technology Patna Payable at Patna, must accompany with the Hard copy of the online application submitted as stated above, else application shall be rejected.

After Submitting the application online, the same is to be printed and then signed hard-copy along with recent photograph and self-attested relevant certificates, document along with application fee DD must be sent to the following address on or before the last date of submission.
