The Union Public Service Commission released the civil service preliminary examination admit card on its official website. Students can now log in with their details to download the same. Students can download their admit card here, from 28 April 2013 to 26 May 2013. The IAS Preliminary Examination has been scheduled for 26 May 2013. The examination will be consisting of two general studies paper of 200 marks each. The Union Public Service Commission introduced the CSAT paper in 2010 while the first batch to appear for the same was in 2011 and the optional paper category was scrapped.
The syllabus for the General Studies Paper is as follows:

In terms of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2013, candidates have been asked to download their admission certificates for the Nagpur Centre on or before 3 May 2013 may take another fresh print for the detailed address of the venue for Civil Services (Prelims) Examination 2013.
