1. DURATION OF REGULAR DEGREE COURSE IN EDUCATION (B.Ed. COURSE)

1.1 B.Ed. Course is a whole time/ full time Regular course of the duration of one academic year.
1.2 A person, as long as he/ she is on the rolls of B.Ed course, shall not be eligible to attend any other course of instruction or appear in any other examination of the University, provided that a candidate who has been placed under reappear category in one course/paper of an examination, other than the qualifying examination, or was scheduled to appear in the examination (other than the qualifying examination) either as a regular or private candidate before the commencement of class work of B.Ed. course but could not do so on account of delay in the conduct of said examination, for reasons beyond his / her control, shall be eligible to appear in that examination, even though he/she has been duly admitted to the B.Ed. course.
1.3 Any person in employment or self-employment or engaged in a business or profession is not eligible for admission to the B.Ed. course in the Non-Government colleges. Such a person may, however, be considered for admission, provided:
i) he/she produces a certificate from his/her employer that the employer has no objection to his/her employee pursuing whole time B.Ed course and that the employee is on authorized leave duly sanctioned by the competent authority for the purpose;
ii) in the case of self-employed person or a person engaged in business or a profession, the person concerned gives an undertaking on a stamped paper of proper value duly attested by the Notary that he/she will devote his/her whole time for studies as a student during the period he/she remains on roll of the College for the course and shall not engage in any business or profession or avocation during this period or engage in any other activity which is likely to interfere with his/her studies in the College.
2. Medium of Instruction and Examination
English shall be the medium of instruction.
Medium of examination shall be English and Hindi.
3. DEFINITIONS
3.1 "Course" means the B.Ed. Course.
3.2 "Qualifying Examination" for the purpose of admission to the B.Ed course means Bachelor's Degree Examination (on the basis of which the candidate becomes eligible for admission to the B.Ed. course in terms of clause 6.1) in the faculties of Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Forestry and Music and Fine Arts of the University of Jammu or any other statutory University in India registered with the Association of Indian Universities. (The candidates holding Bachelor's Degree of one sitting pattern or having degree from Study Centers / franchises of other Universities or have passed in the Bi-Annual/ Supplementary Examination in the same academic year in which admission is being sought are not eligible for admission to the B.Ed course).
3.3 "Merit" means percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination.
3.4 "Open Merit Category" means consideration under Non-Reserved Category on the basis of inter-se merit.
3.5 "Incomplete Form" means the Application Form which is wrongly filled in, gives incomplete/wrong/false information, not attested by the prescribed authority, not accompanied by the requisite late fee in full (if applicable) or deficient in respect of one or more requisite certificate(s)/documents(s).
3.6 "Late Receipt" means the Application Form not received in the University during working hours on or before the last date notified for the purpose.
3.7 "Authority to attest is either the Principal of the Institution from where the candidate passed the qualifying examination or where he is studying at present or a gazetted officer.
3.8 "Candidate” means the person seeking admission to the B.Ed. course.


4. ON-LINE Centralised ADMISSION

4.1 No Non-Government College of Education other than the M.C. Khalsa College of Education* shall make admission of the candidates to the B.Ed. course on its own except Management quota seats. Selection of candidates for all seats except Management quota in B.Ed course in each Non-Government affiliated college of education shall be made by the University.

5. ELIGIBILITY

SUBMISSION OF ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM

6.1 Before submitting the On Line Application Form, the candidate shall read the norms carefully to ensure that he/she fulfils all the eligibility conditions laid down for admission to B.Ed. course. In case, it is detected at any subsequent stage that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and/or has furnished incorrect information, concealed/suppressed material facts, his/her candidature will be cancelled, even if already admitted. The University will, in no way, be responsible for the consequences emanating there from.
6.2 A candidate if wrongly admitted by the admission committee/college/university his/her admission shall be liable to the cancelled at any stage of his/her study and candidate will have no right to claim that his/her admission in the course be continued as he /she was not informed earlier.
6.3 All candidates (Both Local as well as Non-Local) desirous of seeking admission to the B.Ed. course in the Non-Government Colleges, shall submit the On-Line Application Forms complete in all respects on the following one of the websites:-
(1) http://www.jammuuniversity.in (2) www.jucdc.in & (3) http://bedjammu.org.
6.4 A candidate shall not be allowed to make any change in the On-Line Application Form, by way of addition, deletion or alteration, once it has been finally submitted on the website.

6.5 Incomplete ON-LINE Application Forms and those received after the notified date, shall not be entertained under any circumstances and the University shall not enter into any correspondence in this regard.


7. CERTIFICATES AND OTHER DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED

7.1 The On-Line Application Form, duly filled in, should be accompanied by photograph of the candidate, signature and thumb impression.
7.2. The following certificates/ documents (in triplicate) signed by the candidate and attested by the authority mentioned at Clause 3.7 shall be deposited in the College concerned after On-Line Counselling at the time of admission.
i) Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate.
ii) Marks Certificate of 12th Class examination.
iii) Bachelor's Degree/Provisional Certificate issued by the institution/University.
iv) Marks Certificate of each part of Bachelor's Degree examination.
v) Certificate of good conduct from the Principal of the college last attended or Head of the institution where the candidate is studying at present or Gazetted Officer.
vi) Category certificate issued by the competent authority as per latest SRO issued by the J&K State Government for local candidates and by the competent authority as notified in other States (by those candidates who claim consideration under Reserved Categories).
vii) Certificate of being Permanent Resident of Jammu province of the Jammu and Kashmir State issued by the Competent Authority by those candidates who :
a) passed the qualifying examination from University other than the University of Jammu but belong to the areas falling within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu and claim consideration for admission to the course under clause 8.1 (a) (ii)
b) claim consideration for admission under any of the reserved categories.
c) Migration certificate if candidate belongs to other than University of Jammu.

viii) Affidavits as per specimens given at Annexure-I and II duly attested by First Class Magistrate or a Notary Public (by such candidates as claim consideration under Reserved Category in terms of clause 7.3).
ix) A certificate and an undertaking, as the case may be, by such candidates as are in employment or may be self-employed or are engaged in business or profession in terms of clause 7.4.
x) Certificate (on the prescribed form attached with the Brochure Annexure III) for candidates seeking admission under 9.1a(iii).
xi) An affidavit as per specimen given at Annexure IV duly attested by First Class Magistrate or a Notary Public {by such candidates as claim admission under clause 9.1.a (iii)}.

IMPORTANT NOTE : Candidates seeking admission to the course under 8.1 a (iii) any reserved category must attach with the Application Form an attested copy of the certificate on the form prescribed and issued for the purpose by the competent authority under law in force. Failure to attach the attested copy of such certificate will render the candidate ineligible for admission under reserved category. Certificate on plain paper will not be entertained. The certificates of candidates belonging to categories of SC/ST/ Other Backward Classes(O.B.C.)/ Area Adjoining Actual Line of Control(A.L.C.) /Resident of Backward Area (R.B.A.)/Disabled and Defence Service Personnel shall not be entertained if these do not conform to the latest SRO/Order issued by the J&K Government for the purpose. In case, a candidate claims admission under reserved category but does not attach the requisite certificate in support of his/her claim with the Application Form and if found otherwise eligible, will be considered under Open Merit Category. NO CERTIFICATE OR ATTESTED COPY THEREOF WILL BE ENTERTAINED AFTER THE LAST DATE NOTIFIED FOR ADMISSION AFTER ALLOTMENT OF COLLEGE THROUGH CENTRALIZED COUNSELLING. THE CLAIM OF THE CANDIDATE FOR CONSIDERATION UNDER ANY RESERVED CATEGORY WITH "UNDER PROCESS CERTIFICATE" OF CATEGORY WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.
7.3 A candidate seeking admission under reserved category must submit alongwith the Application Form an AFFIDAVIT as per specimen given at Annexure-I duly attested by a First Class Magistrate or a Notary Public to the effect that category certificate and other certificates/documents (attested copies of which are to be produced in the allotted college) are genuine and in the event of their getting proved otherwise, his admission shall be cancelled besides any other action that may be taken against him under law for his/her civil or criminal liability.

7.4 In case the candidate is in employment or is self-employed or is engaged in business or profession, he/she shall also furnish the requisite certificate or undertaking, as the case may be, with the Application Form in accordance with clause 1.3.

7.5 Every college shall have an Admission Committee for scrutiny and verification of documents of candidates to be deposited after allotment of college through Centralized On-Line Counselling. The committee shall consist of:-
1. Principal of the College.
2. Three teachers from the concerned college.
The college shall obtain the approval of the Director College Development Council for the above mentioned Admission Committee.
Important Note: The admission committee shall be wholly solely responsible for the admission in their respective college. In case of wrong admission or admission to ineligible candidate, the Principal/Incharge of the Admission Committee shall face the legal consequences and University shall also impose a penalty of Rs.50,000/- per wrong admission and college will be responsible to pay the same to the University as and when demanded.
Important Note: Candidates should have all the certificate Marks Card/Degree/Provisional Certificate at the time of admission except for migration certificate which he/she has to produce within the stipulated period otherwise he/she will not to allow to fill up the examination form. Admission of the candidate shall stand cancelled if same is not submitted within the prescribed period.

Important Note: In view of rampant reports of fake certificates and fake Universities, the University reserves the right of screening applicants seeking admission who have obtained their qualifying degrees from Universities other than the University of Jammu and evaluating their competence before considering them for admission in a manner as would be notified by the Office of the Director (CDC) from time to time.
In pursuance of the decision taken by the Standing Committee of the Academic Council at its meeting held on 5th September 2005 vide Notification No. F.Acd/V/128/05/6368-6517 dated 05.10.2005, any course run by Study Centers/franchises of any University in the Country except IGNOU, is not recognized.
8. DISTRIBUTION OF SEATS
8.1 (a) 75% of the sanctioned seats available in Non-Government Colleges of Education shall be filled from amongst eligible candidates who :-
(i) are Graduates of the University of Jammu;
OR (ii) belong to areas falling within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu but have passed the qualifying examination from a University other than the University of Jammu;
OR (iii) are employees of the Central/State Govt./or Public Undertaking or any other Organisation recognised by the Syndicate are posted within the territorial jurisdiction of the University or sons, daughters, spouses of such employees. A certificate to this effect on DO pad letter of the Head/Commanding Officer must be attached with the application form.
NOTE : Candidates applying under 8.1 (a) (iii) category must attach certificate and affidavit as per the specimen given at Annexure III & IV. Non-compliance shall lead to rejection of the candidature under the category and candidate shall be considered under 8.1(b) if otherwise eligible.
OR (iv) Wards of Kashmiri migrants in other parts of the country are also eligible for B.Ed admission to Non-Govt. colleges affiliated to Jammu University for the academic session 2013-14 under Local category of the admission within the 75% of the sanctioned seats in order of merit provided such a candidate produces a documentary evidence of belonging to a family registered as Kashmiri Migrant.
(b) Remaining 25% seats shall be filled from amongst eligible candidates who neither belong to the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu nor have passed the qualifying examination from the University of Jammu.
(c) In case, the number of eligible candidates is less than the number of seats available under (b) above, the unfilled seats may be filled from amongst the eligible candidates falling under (a) above and vice-versa.

9.1 8% seats over and above the allotted seats shall be filled up by the Management of the respective colleges on their own out of the eligible candidates who may or may not have applied to the University for seeking admission to the B.Ed Course for the session 2013-2014. However, these seats shall be filled by the College Management within fifteen days (15) from the last date of admission of other candidates or on the date as notified by the University.
10. PROCEDURE AND MODE OF SELECTION

10.1 Admission of all eligible candidates to the B.Ed. Course shall be made by the Admission Committees of the concerned College constituted after seeking approval of the Director College Development, University of Jammu, Jammu.
10.2 Merit lists of eligible candidates mentioned in clause 8.1 (a) 8.1 (b) and those belonging to reserved categories shall be prepared separately on the basis of merit i.e. percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Admission of the candidates falling under clauses 8.1 (a) and 8.2 (b) shall be made on the basis of comparative merit in the respective lists.
10.3 (a) In case two or more candidates falling under open merit category or reserved category have equal merit, the inter-se order of priority for admission of such candidates shall be determined in the order formulated as under:-
i) Candidate obtaining higher percentage of marks in Higher Secondary Part-II or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto;
ii) Candidate obtaining higher percentage of marks in the Matriculation examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, if percentage of marks at serial (i) is equal.
iii) Candidate older in age, if the percentage of marks at serial (ii) is also equal.
11. ALLOTMENT OF COLLEGES
The admission will be made strictly on merit and as per the preference of the candidate through Centralized On-Line Counselling. The college shall be allotted to the candidate on merit-cum-preference basis subject to availability of seat in that college.

12. DISPLAY OF LISTS OF SELECTED candidates

12.1 The list of candidates drawn strictly in order of merit-cum-preference for admission to B.Ed. Course shall be displayed on the University website; (1) http://www.jammuuniversity.in (2) www.jucdc.in & (3)http://bedjammu.org
12.2 No separate intimation to individual candidates regarding selection shall be dispatched. Candidates are advised to visit the University website regularly.

13. ALL ADMISSIONS ARE PROVISIONAL
All admissions to the B.Ed. Course in the Non-Govt. colleges shall be provisional and subject to confirmation by the University.
NOTE:- The provisional admission, if granted to a candidate who has taken his/her last examination from the University other than the University of Jammu is liable to be cancelled if he/she does not submit his/her inter-university migration certificate issued by the concerned university alongwith the other requisite documents to the university through the college where admitted for the B.Ed course with the relevant Registration Return (R/R) within the time frame as prescribed in the statutes.

14. VERIFICATION OF CERTIFICATES
All the candidates selected provisionally for admission to B.Ed. Course, shall submit the original certificates/documents at the time of Admission for verification of their eligibility conditions failing which they shall forfeit the right of admission and no complaint shall be entertained in this regard. The selected candidates except those belonging to Reserve Categories, shall also submit an Affidavit as per the specimen given at Annexure-II, duly attested by a First Class Magistrate or a Notary, alongwith the original certificates/documents.
The candidates seeking admission under 8.1.(a) (iii) must attach certificate on the prescribed form (Annexure III) and an Affidavit (Annexure IV) otherwise their claim for admission to 8.1(a)(iii) clause shall not be considered.


15. APPEALS

15.1 In case the candidate, who had submitted his Application Form on due date, has any grievance and feels that the norms governing the admission have not been adhered to, he/she shall have the option to make an appeal to the Convener, Centralized Admission Committee (B.Ed.) constituted by the Vice Chancellor on the prescribed form on payment of Rs.240/- in the form of Demand Draft in favour of the Director Colleges Development payable at Jammu. The form duly filled in shall be submitted to the Office of Director (CDC)within two days after the last date of admission during working hours. Such appeals shall be considered by the Appellate Authority comprising the following:
1/ Vice-Chancellor (Chairman)
2/ Dean, Academic Affairs
3/ Registrar
4/ Director College Development (Convener, B.Ed Centralized University Admission Committee)
5/ Dean, Faculty of Education
6/ Joint Registrar / OSD (CDC)
7/ One Principal of a Non-Government College of Education to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor
8/ Assistant Registrar (CDC) - Member Secretary
Majority of the members shall form the quorum.
15.2 It shall be obligatory on the part of the appellant to remain present on the scheduled date and time at the venue of the meeting of the Appellate Authority. The candidate will ascertain the schedule time, date and venue of the meeting from the Convener (B.Ed Centralized University Admission Committee). He/she shall appear before the Appellate Authority, if called upon to do so. The decision of the Appellate Authority shall be final and binding on the appellant.
16. REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES
In case of any grievance in the matter of interpretation of statutes or in dealing with a situation not envisaged in the statutes, the matter shall be referred to the Vice-Chancellor who shall issue such order as he may deem fit under the circumstances.

17. LEGAL DISPUTES
All legal disputes including consumer court relating to the admission of candidates to B.Ed. Course in Non-Govt. Colleges shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts in Jammu.

18. WITHDRAWAL OF ADMISSION

The candidates can apply for withdrawal of admission upto one day prior to close of admission. The fee after deducting Rs.1000/- will be refunded by cheque drawn in the name of candidate after completion of admission process. Candidates are required to apply within one month from the date of close of admission for any other type of refund and thereafter no refund whatsoever shall be allowed.
NOTE:
In view of rampant reports of fake certificates and fake Universities, the University reserves the right of screening applicants seeking admission who have obtained their qualifying degrees from Universities other than the University of Jammu and evaluating their competence before considering them for admission in a manner as would be notified by the Office of the Director (CDC) from time to time.

(IV) IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE CANDIDATES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

i) The admission to the B.Ed. regular course shall be made EXCLUSIVELY through On Line Centralized Counselling by the University of Jammu, Jammu for the session 2013-2014.
(ii) No college or any other agency has been authorized to deal with the candidates for admission to the B.Ed. regular course in the Non-Government affiliated Colleges of Education except M.C. Khalsa college of Education which has been allowed to admit Sikh students (minority community) upto 50% of sanctioned seats and seats to be filled under Management Seat Quota @ of 8% of total intake capacity sanctioned by the University to each college.
(iii) Lists in order of merit of all the candidates covered under norms 8.1 (a) (i) (ii) (iii) and and 8.1 (b), shall be displayed on the University Website:- (1) http://www.jammuuniversity.in (2) www.jucdc.in & (3)http://bedjammu.org

iv) If any document produced by a candidate is found to be fake at any stage, admission of such a candidate shall be cancelled and the candidate will have no claim of any kind about the continuation / completion of B.Ed. Course in that case.
v) As all the selection lists will be provisional, therefore the selected candidates shall produce the original certificates/documents before the admission committee of concerned college for verification of eligibility condition & merit. On getting clearance, the candidates shall deposit their fee amounting to Rs.27,155/- in favour of Director, College Development Council, University of Jammu, Jammu through Bank Challan/ Payment Gateway as detailed on the University Website. Apart from this candidate has to pay fee in their respective colleges as per their details given under the caption Fees payable at college.
vi) In case candidates desirous of seeking admission come across any difficulty or are being harassed by any one on account of any reason, they are advised to bring this to the notice of the Director College Development Council, University of Jammu, Jammu.
vii) The candidates admitted in each college are required to attend the classes regularly to earn eligibility (under statutes governing B.Ed. examination, candidates must have attended at least 75% of the total lecturers delivered during the session) to appear in the University examination. They shall also follow the instructions issued by the college from time to time in respect of punctuality, regularity, participation in curricular and co-curricular activities, etc. No candidate will be allowed to take up the examination without fulfilling the statutory requirements.

b) Information and Communication Technology
c) Guidance and Counselling
d) Educational Measurement and Evaluation
e) Comparative Education
f) Educational Administration
g) Health and Physical Education
h) Environmental Education
i) Home Science
j) Indian Music
k) Work Experience

TEACHING SUBJECTS
Paper VI and VII : Content-cum-Methodology of teaching in any two school subjects only from any of the following groups :

Group I Teaching of English/Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi
Group II Teaching of Social Studies (History/Civics/Economics/Geography)
Group III Teaching of General Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)
Group IV Teaching of Mathematics

The students shall have to opt any two subjects selecting not more than one from each of the groups mentioned above.
VI. SCHEDULE OF EXAMINATION
The annual examination for the Degree of Bachelor of Education shall be held in August or any other date prescribed by the University at Jammu and such other places as may be fixed by the Vice-Chancellor.
1. FEES* PAYABLE AT UNIVERSITY BY THE CANDIDATE AT THE TIME OF COUNSELLING
A candidate admitted to the B.Ed course shall deposit their fee amounting to Rs.27,155/-(Twenty Seven thousand, One hundred & fifty five only) in favour of Director, College Development Council, University of Jammu, Jammu through Bank Challan/ Payment Gateway as detailed on the University Website at the time of admission, for the entire duration of the course which includes Examination Development Fund- Rs.660/-, Digitalization Fund-Rs.210/-, Corpus Fund- Rs.700/-, University Infrastructure Fund-Rs.2000/-, IQAC Fund-Rs.120/-, Service Charges @ 5% - Rs.1168/-, Red Cross Fund-Rs.15/-, Cultural Fee-Rs.90/-.
2. fees payable at college:
i) Development Fund-Rs.1500/-
ii) Prospectus of the College-Rs.500/- (if supplied)
iii) Library Security (Refundable)-Rs.500/-
iv) College Magazine-Rs.60/- (if printed and copy made available to students)

  1. Annual Maintenance Charges-Rs.1000/-
  2. N.S.S. Fee- Rs.70/-

The charges prescribed for the hostel facilities for all the colleges for the session 2013-2014 shall be:
i) Hostel Rent - For Hostel within campus :
Not exceeding Rs.9,000/- for the entire duration inclusive of 24 hrs. electricity, water provision and other maintenance charges to be realized in three installments.

- For Hostel outside campus :

Not exceeding Rs.8,000/- for the entire duration inclusive of 24 hrs. electricity, water provision and other maintenance charges to be realized in three installments.
ii) Mess charges - Upto maximum of Rs.20,000/- for the entire duration to be realized in four installments.
The menu of the food to be served to the boarder shall not be lower in quality than that of the University hostel.
iii) Hostel Security - Rs. 500/- (Refundable)

  2. Read the “Schedule”, “Prospectus” and “How to apply” thoroughly. Visit these websites frequently for latest updates. Admissions will be purely ONLINE. No written information will be sent to the candidates by post. Merit, allotment letter etc can only be downloaded.
  3. New candidates have to register fresh by pressing button “New Registration”. Fill all fields like name, father’s name, address, qualifying exam details etc. Mandatory fields are marked with a small red star. At the end of this page you have to upload your Photograph, signature, Thumb impression and Mark sheet of qualifying exam. You can make the signature and thumb impression on a paper and scan them for uploading. Size of file should not be more than permitted. Uploading of Photo and Signature is Mandatory.
  4. If you are unable to upload your Thumb impression or qualifying exam’s mark sheet then affix and attach them on / with the printout of application.
  5. When you complete the application, RECHECK all fields. Then press the button, “Submit to Generate Application No. and Password”. Your Application no. and password will be generated. They will be displayed on the screen and will be sent to you through email and SMS as well. In case the application cannot be submitted then you must have left some field blank. Scroll up and complete the field marked with a red star or message in red colour. Then resubmit.
  6. Keep the Application No. and Password safely with you. It will be required a number of times to log in and download different items. To log in you have to give your Application number and Password in the space provided in login section.
  7. In case you forget your Application no. and / or Password, you can get them by pressing the button, “Forgot Password”. They will be emailed to your registered email address.
  8. The seats shall be distributed as 1) 75% to Local candidates and 2) 25% to Non Local candidates.In case seats remain vacant in either category the same shall be filled from other category.
  9. On the Home page top you will see different buttons like, “Home”, “Prospectus”, “Colleges”, “Key dates“How to Apply”, “Seat Matrix”, “Bank List”, “Advertisement” and “Help desk”. You can refer to them anytime for necessary guidelines.
  10. You can call the helpline nos. +91-7726068550, +91-7726068551, +91-7726068552 During Office Hours on working days for technical problems. Once you are logged in, you can also report about any Technical Problem through the button, “Report your Problem”.
  11. Candidates will be able to make correction in the details filled in their Online application form. However this Online Editing facility will permit the Candidate to do desired correction ONLY ONCE.

Choice Filling

  1. On pressing the button “Continue” on the Application No. and Password display page, the Choice filling page will appear.
  2. Press “Add New Choice” to add new record. Select the desired District and then desired College and Press “UPDATE” button. This shall be repeated for adding each new college. You can press button“Save Choices” in between and again start adding choices by pressing “Modify Choices”. Finally save the choices selected. You have to select minimum five college choices.
  3. Candidates are permitted to change preference of their Colleges, delete and add new Colleges any number of times before the last date / time and till they lock their choices.
  • ‘Add New Choice’ Button is used for adding new College.
  • ‘Remove All Choices’ Button is used for removing all Colleges chosen earlier.
  • Interchange Choices’ Button is used to interchange the two Colleges selected. You have to select the Colleges to be interchanged, by clicking the boxes in ‘Select’ column.
  • Edit Button’ is used to change the College selected earlier.
    • After using edit option ‘Update’ and ‘Cancel’ Button will be displayed in its place. ‘Update Button’ is used to update the changed College. ‘Cancel Button’ is used to cancel the change done.
  • Delete Button’ is used to delete the College chosen earlier.
  • Up Button’ will shift your College choice up by one serial number.
  • Down Button’ will shift your College choice down by one serial number.
  • After all operations ‘Save Button’ is used to save the final choices. It is necessary to save the choices displayed on Computer screen before closing the website otherwise all information will be lost.

Fee Payment

  1. The next page has three sections. First is Choices Modify / Lock Section. You can Modify your choices any number of times before you lock your choices. If you do not lock your choices before the last date and time then the latest saved choices will be automatically locked and allotment will be done on this basis.
  2. Second is Fee payment section. You have four options of paying fees. HDFC bank with Challan and Online Payment Gateway options. Axis bank and J & K bank both with Challan. By selecting Challan option, a Challan of the selected bank will be printed at the end. You have to visit any branch of that bank and pay the fee of Rs 1500 written on the challan (Bank charges Extra). After paying fee, take candidate’s and University’s copy of challan duly stamped by the bank. Make sure that Date, Bank Branch code and Transaction code is clearly mentioned on it. Your fee will be reconciled with the bank. In case of problem you may be asked to produce your challan copy as proof.
  3. If you opt for Online payment gateway / E-banking option, you can pay directly from your computer by Credit / Debit card / your bank account. Bank charges are mentioned with the option.
  4. Candidates should not wait for the last date to deposit fee. It takes 2-3 days time to reconcile the fee with the bank. So last minute rush may lead to problem in reconciliation of fee.
  5. The last section is Printouts. You will be provided with a pdf file containing a) Bank Challan / Online payment receipt, b) Application form, c) List of Colleges chosen. Choices are for consulting with your Parents, Teachers, Friends and others for advice.
  6. Take a printout of the complete set. Keep one photo copy of the application form with you for future reference.
  7. All Candidates have to send the printout of application duly signed and with Photo, sign, thumb impression printed / affixed on it and qualifying examination Marks Card copy. Enclose University’s challan copy / online payment receipt and send to any of the following collection centres.
    a. Kawa Tower, NH, Bye-pass Road, Narwal, Jammu J& K-180006
    b. Rajiv Gandhi College of Education, NH, Kalibari, Kathua, J& K-184101
  8. At the end press “Logout” to end the internet session. In case you forget to do so the next candidate will not be able to fill fresh form on the same computer.
  9. Candidates can Log in and take printout of their application / challan / College Choices any no. of times. They can modify their choices any number of times before the last date.

Merit generation and Seat Allotment

  1. After the last date of fee deposit, merit list will be prepared and displayed. All candidates should verify their names. If your name has not appeared in the list then immediately inform us and send a scanned copy of your challan and application printout to bedjammu2013@gmail.com
  2. On the scheduled date of counseling, the locked choices will be processed. The list of candidates along with allotted College will be displayed on this website. Allotment will be done on the basis of Merit, Choices and available seats.
  3. Candidates should download their allotment letter from the website. They should pay the college fee and approach the allotted college with in permitted time.
