RECRUITMENT OF POST GRADUATE TEACHERS & TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHERS – 2014 IN JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYAS

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literacy, Government of India, invites ON LINE applications from eligible Indian nationals for drawing a panel of candidates for filling up of the posts of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) & Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) on DIRECT RECRUITMENT BASIS in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas located in various districts of the country.

SCALE OF PAY:

1. PGT -Rs. 9300-34800 (Grade Pay Rs.4800)
2. TGT – Rs. 9300-34800 (Grade Pay Rs.4600)

Educational Qualification :

For PGT - Two Year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. OR Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects. POST Master’s Degree PGT(Hindi) Hindi PGT(Physics) Physics/Applied Physics/Electronics Physics/ Nuclear Physics PGT(Chemistry) Chemistry/Bio Chemistry PGT(Mathematics) Mathematics/Applied Mathematics PGT(Economics) Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics PGT(History) History PGT(Geography) Geography PGT(Commerce) Commerce with Accounting/Cost Accounting/ Financial Accounting as a major subject of study.  Holders of Degree of M.Com. in Applied/Business Economics shall not be eligible. PGT (English) English PGT (Biology) Botany / Zoology / Life Sciences / Bio Sciences / Genetics / Micro Biology / Bio Technology / Molecular Bio / Plant Physiology provided that applicant had studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation level. B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from a recognized University. Proficiency in Teaching in Hindi and English languages. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Experience as TGT in recognized institution in concerned subject. Experience of working in a residential school. Knowledge of Computer application.

For TGT - Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate. OR A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University with 50% marks or above in aggregate as well as in the concerned subject comprising the combination as under: POST SUBJECTS TGT(English) English as an Elective Subject at Degree Level TGT(Maths) Maths, Physics and Chemistry TGT(Science) Botany, Zoology and Chemistry TGT (Hindi) Hindi as an Elective Subject at Degree level TGT (Social Studies) History with Geography / Economics / Political Science or Geography with History / Economics / Political Science B.Ed. or equivalent from a recognized University. Competence to teach through English and Hindi/concerned Regional language as the case may be. Should pass Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Experience of working in a residential school. Knowledge of Computer application. Note -Candidates applying for the post of TGT (Mathematics),TGT(Science) and TGT (Social Studies) should ensure qualification must see advertisement

Age Limit : For PGT 40 YEARS (As on 31.01.2014) is maximum Age limit .For TGT 35 YEARS (As on 31.01.2014).is maximum Age limit

Application Fees: The payment towards application fee can be made through CBS Branches of the Union bank of India , by means of a Fee Challan available in the Bank’s website .Pay in Cash Rs.560/- (i.e. Application Fee of Rs.500/- + Rs.60/- Bank’s service charges) in the form of a bank challan as mentioned above. No fee is required to be paid by candidates belonging to SC / ST / PH categories and Women candidates; hence the steps for payment of fees will not be applicable to them in online application form. challan will be generate by system candidates must have generate application ID
